So, April 10th, 2023 started out pretty well. I had my Chevy truck with my Lance camper loaded on top and was pulling my Basscat. (That’s a Bass boat) and was heading from Southern Oregon to Clear Lake California to meet up with my son who was heading up from San Diego to meet me there. He’s on baby leave from the Marines with his wife and son. He is stationed in Quantico, Va as a Marine Corp Swim Survival instructor. Anyways, I was about 4 hours into my trip and was about to exit the Corning exit when my truck shut down. After failing to get her started, I had to see about a tow. While doing this, I had a CHP stop by to see if he could do anything or if I need any help. I said no thank you, I just sent my information for a tow. Within 10 minutes, I had a tow guy call me. Asked me a few questions on what happened. I explained to him what the symptoms were. He said that he was on his way and had a place in mind. They were actually waiting for us to arrive. We were so close that all we had to do was chain to my tow bar and off we went. After arriving, they got my information and were already diagnosing the problem. I blew a bunch of fuses including the 40 amp ones. They figured that the main power lead from my battery to I believe the starter was extremely tight and had rubbed the casing down to where it sparked and fried the fuses. Re ran my setup and had me going.

Man, all I can say is that the guys at Hi Tech automotive saved the day. Made it to Clear Lake and spent 4 days with the greatest son ever known. The fishing wasn’t fantastic however, being with my kid was my main goal. Made it home with no problem.

The guys at Hi Tech Diesel did a fantastic job with my 02 Dodge truck. During their inspection they found some things that needed attention. I inherited this truck and knew some things where going to have to be addressed and they did a great job on it. They always letting me know how much the repairs where going to cost. And they never gave me one price then charged another. Very fair and honest, I would highly recommend Hi Tech Diesel to family and friends. Top notch guys.

This business is incredible, we've been in several times and now it is our go-to place in corning. For both gasoline and diesels, I'd say it well worth it. The guys in there really know what they're doing and truly appreciate returning customers. Definitely recommend. Plus they've had snacks in the waitroom the last few times I've been in 😂

Hi Tech was completely professional and responsive! Our '03 Dodge would not start on an overnight stay nearby. We had our vehicle towed to Hi Tech on a recommendation from a local mobile mechanic. Turned out the injectors needed to be replaced(this is a big job) The staff knew that we were moving and had all of our stuff and family with us and were very understanding and professional. They made all the repairs and kept us in communication about the repair. And went through the the truck to make sure that we were safe to get back on the road. We would highly recommend Hi Tech Diesel & Automotive.

Ryan and the Hi Tech team were amazing!  We were driving from Oregon to a family wedding when our check engine light came on. We stopped at Autozone who referred us to Hi Tech. They were able to get us in immediately, diagnosed the problem as bad spark plugs, and replaced them in a few hours.

Ryan communicated excellently at every step of the process. And he even brought water for our dog while we waited. Five stars!

Been there a couple of times and they even helped me put a part in my car that dealerships were saying were several weeks out (safety recall) and they got me in right away. After moving up here from Southern California and having to worry about finding an automotive shop to replace the one that took me years to find that was decent I was nervous because not all mechanics are fair and honest, I'm glad I stumbled across this shop.

We had our truck towed here after breaking down on our way home from a camping trip (with 3 dogs) - right before they closed. Saved our trip by working on a wrong fuel problem with our diesel pickup. Wife and dogs along, 110 degrees outside and they stayed after hours to get us on the road and home!  Owner missed a birthday party he was cooking for. He charged us very reasonably and would not accept extra cash as a thank you for working after hours. You don’t find this kind of integrity every day.
